The short version: Stride is a read-only analytics app. Your Strava data never leaves your device โ€” it's stored entirely in your browser's local storage. We have no servers that store your personal information, and we never share your data with anyone.

What Stride Does

Stride is a personal running analytics dashboard that connects to your Strava account to visualize your complete training history. It displays year-over-year distance trends, monthly breakdowns, pace progression, and multi-year comparisons.

Stride accesses your Strava data using read-only OAuth authorization. We cannot modify, delete, or post anything to your Strava account.

Where Your Data Lives

๐Ÿ“ฑ

Your device only

All Strava activity data fetched by Stride is stored exclusively in your browser's local IndexedDB storage on your own device. It never leaves your device.

๐Ÿšซ

No external servers

Stride does not operate any servers that store your personal data or activity history. There is no Stride database containing your information.

๐Ÿ”‘

Secure token exchange

OAuth token exchange is handled by a secure serverless function. Your Strava Client Secret is never exposed in the app's source code.

What We Access

Stride requests the activity:read_all scope from Strava, which gives us read-only access to your activities including private activities. This is required to display your complete running history.

We never request write access and cannot modify your Strava data in any way.

Who We Share Data With

Nobody. Your data is never shared with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers under any circumstances. Stride contains no advertising and does not use your data for any commercial purpose.

Strava may collect usage data related to your use of the Strava API as described in their Privacy Policy at strava.com/legal/privacy.

Deleting Your Data

You may disconnect Stride from your Strava account at any time using the disconnect option (โœ•) within the app header. This immediately removes all locally stored activity data from your device.

You may also revoke Stride's access directly from your Strava account settings at strava.com/settings/apps.

If you delete an activity from Strava, Stride performs a daily reconciliation to remove it from local storage within 24 hours.

Third Party Services

Stride is built on Strava's API and is subject to Strava's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Stride is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Strava.

Activity data obtained through the Strava API may include data sourced from Garmin devices. Garmin attribution applies where required by Garmin's brand guidelines.
